Sony has long been one of those doing vaguely peculiar things with its product. And here is one of the new emerges. An add-on lens to your existing Xperia Device.

These lenses although not sure, would be connected to your Xperia Smartphone via either NFC or Wi-Fi. Or maybe both.
They would be announced on 4^th September in their conference.

Here are the possible specifications of the upcoming lenses.

·         SmartShot QX10: 18MP CMOS sensor, f/3.3-5.9

SmartShot QX100: 20.2MP CMOS Sensor, f/1.8-4.9

MyXperia now out of Beta

The MyXperia App/Setting which was in beta stage from like almost a year is now out of it's beta phase.
Compatible on the 2012 and onward series of Xpera Smartphones, this is something which really is very crucial to smartphones today.
                                    

Unlike many apps out there, this will via GPS track your phone and if in case it get's lost, you can see exactly where it is. Also it can make the phone produce an alarm noise automatically at a high volume and remotely wipe your data.
This uses your google account both ways so the one you sign in on from your phone will be the same one used from the website.
You can head on to use it if you did get the notification or from the latest update by going under "Xperia" in Settings.

Android 4.3 Update 'Round the Corner

There have been many leaks reported and well it was then up on SamMobile about a Android 4.3 running Galaxy S4 was out there in the wild. Now reports are coming in about a similar one for the Xperia Z.
All these can just indicate one thing. Android 4.3 is just around the corner.
Although the only thing truly different about this update was the Always On WiFi and of course the notifications which could be managed via another app, but there are more in the making. (Hopeful)
Although Google is mum about any event they would be holding so either another Android isn't so close. Or it's not going to make too much of a big deal out of it.

Sony Xperia A Now Official

From a long time, there have been speculations about a new Xperia phone headed towards the Japanese this summer and they were confirmed more when NTT Docomo scheduled a conference today.
Well it has unveiled a new Sony Smartphone named Xperia A which will be going on sale starting May 17th.

Sony Xperia A features a 4.6-inch 720p HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor. The phone also comes with Android 4.1 out of the box, 2300 mAh battery and LTE support.It's water and dust proof, packing a 13MP rear and 0.3MP front camera. It also sports a dedicated camera button. The phone will be sold in Black, White, Pink ad Mint color variants

Sony hasn't mentioned anything about a global availability but we hope to hear something soon.

Sony Xperia ZR: The Younger Sibling announced!

Sony has just unveiled the new younger sibling to the Xperia Z, The Xperia ZR. It features the highest level of water resistance to catch full HDR photos and Videos underwater upto 1.5m for 30 minutes, the latest IP55/IP58 standard.
Here are the key specifications.

Camera: 13MP Sensor with Exmor RS

Xperia Z now available in the US

People of the US can now breathe a sigh of relief as the Xperia Z, Sony's latest flagship finally makes it way to the Sony US Store.

 Unfortunately its only the HSPA+ version. The LTE version (4G capable) is still yet to be seen and T-Mobile as it looks like has the sole permission to sell it
All the 3 colors are available on the website and it costs $629.99.
Xperia ZL is also there with all three color variants (Black, White & Red) available and will set you back the same $629.99.
